Evri Parcel Delivery
Formerly Evri rebranded in 2022 with a promise to improve service quality. As the UK's largest dedicated parcel delivery company handling over 700 million parcels a year, Evri remains the go-to budget option — but is cheapest always best? Here's our honest take.
Services at a glance
| Service | Speed | Tracking | Price from |
|---|---|---|---|
| PostableLite (small items) | 3–5 working days | Basic | £1.99 |
| ParcelShop Drop-off | 3–5 working days | Basic | £2.15 |
| Standard | 3–5 working days | Basic | £2.50 |
| Next Day | Next working day | Full | £4.40 |
The ParcelShop network
Evri operates over 7,000 ParcelShop locations across the UK — inside convenience stores, newsagents and petrol stations. This makes drop-off incredibly convenient, often with longer opening hours than Post Office branches. You can also have parcels delivered to a ParcelShop for collection, which reduces missed-delivery problems.
Tracking
Evri's tracking has improved since the rebrand but still lags behind DPD and UPS. Standard services show a few key scan points — collected, in transit, out for delivery, delivered — but lack real-time GPS or tight delivery windows. The next-day service includes more granular updates and a two-hour delivery window on the day. Track your Evri parcel at evri.com/track-a-parcel.
Weight and size limits
Evri accepts parcels up to 15 kg with maximum dimensions of 120 cm × 60 cm × 60 cm. The PostableLite service is limited to items under 1 kg that fit through a letterbox. For heavier items, you will need to look at DPD (30 kg) or UPS (70 kg).
Pros & cons
Pros
- Cheapest UK parcel service — from £1.99
- Huge ParcelShop network for easy drop-off
- Photo-on-delivery confirmation
- Collection from home available
- Good for marketplace sellers shipping in volume
Cons
- Mixed delivery reviews — courier quality varies by area
- Basic tracking on standard services
- Compensation limits are low (£20 default)
- Delivery windows less precise than DPD
- 15 kg weight cap is restrictive
Our verdict
Evri is the right choice when cost matters most and the item isn't fragile or high-value. For eBay sellers, Vinted users and anyone shipping lightweight goods, the savings are real. For anything valuable or time-sensitive, spend a little more on DPD or UPS — and use Parcelfire to find the sweet spot between price and service.
